Keep Fooling Around

At last you can download our last recording. Its called Keep fooling around and it consists of six tracks that surely will be familiar for the ones who had been in our gigs. But this ones have true studio sound.

It was recorded in september '08 in Adrada de Pirón (Segovia),with the help and care of Luis and Guille. Enjoy it!

IV Contrablues Festival

The IV Contrablues Festival its up to begin in the well known pub Contraclub (16, Bailén Street, Madrid). A festival which lasts four days, from october 22 with the great Ñaco Goñi, to october 25 in which we, The Forty Nighters, will close down the festival.

This pub has hosted bluesbands such as Ñaco Goñi, José Luis Pardo, Malcom Scarpa, Los Lunáticos, Josele Santiago, Tonky de la Peña,  Los Coronas o Edu Bighands. For us is undoubtely a pleasure to play here. We are also eagering to play in the center of Madid, where we hope we'll have good audience. We may invite some friends to come and play a bit with us.

The Forty Nighters will be there saturday 25 of october, at 22:00 pm. The ticket will cost 5€ with drink. Previously we will be at Temple Street Bar ,in Alcalá de Henares, on october 17.

 

On drums...

Arriving from the broad meadows of rock. A rolling stone has decided to join The Forty Nighters, travelling upstream to meet the roots.

With him we are preparing a new sound and we invite you to discover it the next friday concert. To all of you, on drums... ¡¡¡Pablo Ruiz!!!

Carlos Sánchez, el que ha sido hasta ahora batería de nuestro grupo, ha decidido dejarlo. Le deseamos lo mejor allá donde vaya y ponemos rumbo a una nueva etapa de The Forty Nighters en busca de un nuevo batería. Preferiblemente que fuera parte de la Muddy Waters Band Cool. Aparte de toda la historia conjunta, conciertos, música y demás experiencias, Carlos nos ha dejado su aportación a la nueva maqueta de la que podreís disfrutar en breve. Gracias y hasta siempre.

III Hondarribia Blues Festival
 
Llevamos unos meses sin actualizar la web, lo cual no quiere decir que  hayamos estado inactivos.... Más bien todo lo contrario. Los sagaces habrán comprobado, en la sección "Grupo", que se ha unido un teclista (y qué teclista señores) a la banda: Sergio Valdeíta (Blue Eyes Blues, 14-30). Llevamos seis meses juntos, y prácticamente desde el primer día podía decirse que era uno más de la banda, sabiendo captar la idea y el rollo que queremos... Rock'n'Roll, señores, Rock'n'Roll.
 
Y el cartel que veis a la derecha de este texto no es ni más ni menos que el III Hondarribia Blues Festival, cartel del cual tenemos el inmenso placer de formar parte. Por este festival, en tan solo tres años de vida, ha pasado gente de la talla de Bob Margolin, Will Big Eyes Smith, (Muddy Waters Band, ahí es ná), Janiva Magness, Hubert Sumlin (guitarrista de Howlin' Wolf), Mingo Balaguer, Fede Aguado y Osi Martínez, Travellin' Brothers, etc... Y este año, ya veis quién viene: James Cotton, ni más ni menos. Hablan maravillas también de Zac Harmon y Mississippi Heat. Un festival que a buen seguro se convertirá en uno de los grandes del territorio nacional: entorno incomparable, gente maravillosa, buena gastronomía y... gratuito.

Demo The Forty Nighters 2007

Download our demo recorded live at Most Music the 15 of december of 2007. In this concert we were honored to be the support band of two great musicians like Ñaco Goñi and Stevie Zee.  Thanks to José Ángel Cortés for the technical work.

The demo consist in four songs, the first one its home grown. These four songs summarize how any of our concerts are. We hope you enjoy them. Any comment or suggestion will be thankfully received.
